I Am Invincible four year-old Mimi Amara broke through for an overdue maiden win on her home track at Eagle Farm.
Prepared by John & Chris Meagher, Mimi Amara’s career has been plagued by bad barriers, average luck in running and niggling injuries.
“Mimi Amara has really had little luck in her career to date. She should have nearly won a $100,000 maiden last preparation if it wasn’t for a poor barrier. Other little niggling issues along the way have had us on the back foot but she has always shown a good deal of ability,” said Grant Morgan from Ontrack.
Mimi Amara is from the first crop of I Am Invincible and was an inexpensive $20,000 yearling purchase by Ontrack Thoroughbreds from the Magic Millions QTIS Yearling Sale.
“We obviously have a strong affinity with I Am Invincible. Mimi Amara is our third individual runner by the sire. Of course Brazen Beau is the flag bearer but we also have the smart Invincible Heart.”
Mimi Amara was well ridden by top young rider James Orman, who later completed a winning treble for John and Chris Meagher also winning aboard Kit De Luca and Cruising Speed.
Congratulations to Mimi Amara’s owners Woongarra, Leanne Tranberg, Mick Hackett, Smudgee Syndicate, Proffessor Jim Dale, Chris Fox, David Moretti, David Goldfinch, Dave Grob, Don Robbins, Ken Reynolds, Lynne Smith, Maureen Rusk, Rose Rovelli, Stu Smith & Ron Andrews.
