News of further stakes increases for Queensland racing has been welcomed by Ontrack Thoroughbreds.
Racing Queensland has confirmed $8 million will be applied to thoroughbred funding from June 17 in addition to the extra $26 million allocated last November.
Ontrack Thoroughbreds Managing Director Grant Morgan welcomed the news.
“Anything that delivers more prizemoney to our owners is welcomed.
“Racing is totally reliant on owners continuing to support the industry and the only way to encourage them to stay involved is the promise of higher returns by way of prizemoney.

“At Ontrack we strive to find horses capable of winning at metropolitan level so any higher returns for winning city races is welcomed,” said Grant Morgan.
