Promising filly Burning Bell continued on her winning way in testing conditions on the Sunshine Coast poly track. Burning Bell is now the winner of 3 of her 4 starts, earning her connections $103,000 during that period. That prizemoney has been significantly enhanced by her status as a QTIS bonus filly. Purchased for just $38,000 from the 2019 Magic Millions QTIS Sale on the Gold Coast, Burning Bell is a daughter of Black Caviar’s sire, Bel Esprit. Bred in Queensland by top Wariwck nursery Daandine Stud, Burning Bell is a daughter of the stakes winning Sequalo mare Flamenco. Burning Bell missed out on a start in a stakes race during the recent Scone carnival after being balloted. Black type targets may well be put aside for the time being, with the $150,000 Edward Street Brisbane (1200m) at Eagle Farm on 25 June being on the radar now for Burning Bell. Longer term targets are for Burning Bell are likely to centre around the $11.75m Magic Millions Raceday in January 2023.
