GRANT MORGAN is the principal of OnTrack, with close to 30 years professional work experience and a lifelong passion for the thoroughbred racing & breeding industry.
The crowning achievement for Grant has been the multiple Group 1 winning sprinter BRAZEN BEAU.
Selected, purchased and managed by OnTrack, Brazen Beau was a $70,000 yearling buy. Brazen Beau amassed prizemoney of over $1.4m including demoralizing Group 1 wins in the Coolmore Stakes and the time honoured Newmarket Handicap.
In the Spring of 2014, Grant secured a highly sought after multi million dollar stud deal for Brazen Beau and his owners with HH Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud.
Grant has enjoyed an outstanding strike rate from limited purchases since establishing OnTrack in 2002.
Grant's passion for thoroughbred racing was evident from a very young age. His parents moved in racing circles and enjoyed owning and breeding horses, whilst being regular racegoers at Rosehill.
During his formative years at high school, Grant enjoyed initial 'hands on' experience in harness racing and greyhound racing.
Shortly after finishing high school, Grant joined the Bill Mitchell stable at Randwick where he worked as a stable hand, before moving across to pursue a professional career in bloodstock, form analysis, media, marketing and management.
Prior to establishing the OnTrack group of businesses in 2002, Grant had been professionally employed within the Thoroughbred industry as CEO, Marketing Manager, Racing Manager, Business Manager, Riders Agent, Racing Journalist, Bloodstock Agent, Industry Consultant & Form Analyst.
Grant also helped guide the early careers of leading stallions General Nediym and Desert Sun whilst he was Marketing & Racing Manager at Eliza Park Stud.
Grant is a past president & life member of the Queensland Racehorse Owners Association (QROA, now QTOA) and a past Chairman of the national racehorse owners body ATROC (Australian Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Council).
