A spectacular spring contributed to making this year’s Hunter Valley Horse and Wine Tour a memorable event. Locals are calling the current spring the best growing season for more than half a century and the guests on this year’s Ontrack tour were certainly impressed with the magnificent pastures and gardens on display at six of Australia’s leading studs. This was Ontrack’s ninth Hunter Valley Horse and Wine Tour and CEO Grant Morgan agreed with assessments that this spring is the best for decades. “The studs were simply magnificent and the Hunter Valley was undoubtedly at its beautiful best for this year’s tour. We were lucky to take a great group of clients and they all had a fantastic few days touring the studs and sampling some of the great wines the Hunter has to offer. “It was also great to have the company of Tom and Gill Wyld on this year’s tour as they were with us when we conducted the first Hunter Valley Horse and Wine Tour all those years ago,” said Grant Morgan. The tour visited the following studs: Newgate Farm, Darley Stud, Yarraman Park Stud, Vinery Stud, Arrowfield and Coolmore Stud and the Saddlers Creek and Audrey Wilkinson Wineries. “It was a fantastic tour and we would like to thank all the studs and wineries for the efforts they went to to accommodate us and give us a truly exclusive look at their operations. The studs were all extremely generous with their time and resources and their efforts are genuinely appreciated.” Tour Highlights VideoTour Gallery |
